Yes, she does. When I wrote her office about why she voted against crucial defense spending years ago, she gave me the run-around and tried making it look like I was the problem(?). At the time, she was my congressperson (I lived in her (formerly) slightly gerrymandered district, which later became a the 100% gerrymandered district).

Louise Slaughter is quoted in this article and she's the worst when it comes to supporting abortion. When my sister was involved in the pro life movement, she took part in a few of the Marches for Life in Washington DC. Slaughter was her Congress person and she tried to visit her while in DC and Slaughter refused to see my sister, just as she refused to hold town halls because "I'm Not Doing Town Hall Meetings; I'm Not Giving These People a Forum". Does she think she's royalty? What an arrogant demigod!

The U.S. is a country which, time and again, has held up the Western ideal that individuals and groups cannot be forced to bend to the will of others. The Constitution says so, and the Founders were staunch believers that force=tyranny. Coercion is its own form of force, and, unfortunately, the Feds have proven, time and again, that they're willing to apply force to strong-arm people into bending to the will of others. Just depends on who's in charge, and the flavor of the week of their offenses against the populace. The Feds push, until someone or some group (usually the latter) pushes back.

This abortion situation is a perfect example of one groups' trying to force its will over others, that is, the Feds who support abortion on demand in all its forms, supported by their fellow travelers who lobby incessantly. The "Sisters of Charity" (I think that's their name) would be held over a barrel because their hospitals and sundry care centers, which are throughout the U.S., would be held over a barrel when it comes to abortion. At the very least, ObamaCare would be the camel's nose under the tent of non-profit hospitals run by the Sisters, as the regulatory rules and the grip the Feds have over ALL hospitals would be tightened and strictly enforced.
