Sorry that I haven’t posted anything in a while. I had family business to attend to and I also needed a break from blogging to recharge my batteries.

What a story though, to break my recent “blogger’s block”, than Nancy Pelosi’s latest baring of what she really thinks of we “unwashed masses”. Check out this video:

Yeah, you heard that right, rather than call for an investigation on where the Cordoba Institute is obtaining the funding for their proposed Ground Zero Mosque, she has the unmitigated audacity to call for an investigation of the Mosque opponents! In a recent CNN Poll, nearly 70% of Americans oppose the proposed Ground Zero Mosque. Also, there’s strong opposition against this Mosque, from the families of the 9/11 victims.

Haven’t the families of the 9/11 victims suffered enough with the loss of their loved ones to Islamic extremists? Nancy Pelosi wishes to further persecute the 9/11 victims families by investigating them because they oppose a Mosque that celebrates their loved ones deaths.

Nancy Pelosi is warped beyond help. So is the American Left for their unquestioning compliance, acting as enablers and apologists for radical Islam! David Horowitz wrote about this in his book, “Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam and the American Left”, and the actions by the left and their strangely sudden defense of religious freedom concerning the Ground Zero Mosque, bares out Horowitz’s claims.

During my break from blogging, I spent time on the D&C OPINION page, debating the Ground Zero Mosque issue. Every single one of the leftists that post there see no problem with the building of this Mosque and call opponents of the Mosque, bigots and Islamophobes. A couple have even speculated that the families of the 9/11 victims are bigots for opposing the Ground Zero Mosque!

Nobody who opposes the Ground Zero Mosque is challenging the builders under Constitutional grounds. We are challenging the builders concerning their offending the 9/11 victims families and the nearly 70% of Americans who don’t want a Mosque built near the site of an atrocity, the deliberate murder of innocent civilians, committed in the name of Islam, as well as the intentions of the builders. When presented with evidence that Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, who’s sponsoring this Mosque, is a radical Islamist in sheeps clothing, the leftists on the D&C either ignore it or call it propaganda.

If Imam Feisal were truly the moderate Muslim that he’s trying to portray himself as, why would he:

Blame the US for 9/11 on a “60 Minutes” interview, 19 days after the attacks!

Would a moderate Muslims do that?

His organization who’s sponsoring the Ground Zero Mosque, the Cordoba Institute, has close ties with CAIR and their parent organization, the Muslim Brotherhood, whose aim it is to make Sharia the law of the land in the US!

Do moderate Muslims want this?

Imam Rauf was quoted on an Arab language website at the University of Cairo, saying “I don’t believe in religious dialogue”!

I thought moderate Muslims welcomed religious dialogue.

He refuses to call Hamas a terrorist group!

Do moderate Muslims believe that Hamas is not a terrorist group?

Imam Rauf blames the West for bringing on jihad!

Wasn’t jihad initiated by the Muslims after the inception of Islam, when the Arabian Peninsula was conquered by Mohammed, by the sword?

Imam Rauf claims to be building bridges but he deliberately burned those bridges by refusing Gov. Paterson’s offer of an alternative site, further away from Ground Zero, puposely ignoring the sensitivities of the families of the 9/11 victims. Imam Rauf showed that he cares NOT for the sensitivities of the families or for nearly 70% of Americans who are against this Mosque!

Fellow Muslims have called out Rauf on his real intentions behind the building of this Mosque.

New York currently boasts at least 30 mosques so it’s not as if there is pressing need to find space for worshippers. The proposal has been made in bad faith and in Islamic parlance, such an act is referred to as “Fitna,” meaning “mischief-making” that is clearly forbidden in the Koran.

The Koran commands Muslims to, “Be considerate when you debate with the People of the Book” — i.e., Jews and Christians. Despite all of the evidence that Imam Rauf is not the moderate Muslim he’s trying to portray himself as and the warnings from fellow Muslims that Rauf’s true intentions behind the Ground Zero Mosque are not good, the left continues to cover for and apologize for Imam Rauf! Nancy Pelosi wants to rub salt in the wounds of the 9/11 victims families and the majority of Americans by investigating them!

Pelosi’s call to investigate the 9/11 victims families and the nearly 70% of Americans who oppose the Ground Zero Mosque proves that she would persecute Americans in order to cover for and defend the enemies of America and the left is complicit in this as well!

rochesterconserative.com member, HowardRoarke, tipped me off to an article on the New Zeal Blogspot about Journolist members connections to Marxist and far left organizations as well as having ties to the Obama campaign. From the New Zeal Blogspot:

Many “JournoListas” were involved with Marxist based based organizations such as Democratic Socialists of America, or the far left Institute for Policy Studies.

Some, like Robert Kuttner of The American Prospect, had close ties to the Obama campaign and Administration.

An overlapping group of “JournoListas” , at least eight strong were centered on another organization, which has close ties to the three highly influential power centers – financier and “change agent” George Soros’ , internet giant Google and DC based non profit Free Press – accused by its opponents of aiding Obama Administration attempts to censor and manipulate information on the internet.

The organization in question, the Washington DC based New America Foundation has close ties to the Obama Administration, stretching back to Obama’s alma mater Occidental College in the early 1980s.

Marxist journalists shilling in their publications for Obama, who admitted in his book, “Dreams From My Father”, his interest in Marxism:

“JournoListas” connections to the New America Foundation that’s supported by George Soros, weaves a web of collusion where details of Obama’s radical past were suppressed by compliant, “fellow traveler” journalists. This is truly what Congressman A. S. Herlong Jr described as Communist Goals to the House of Representatives back on January 10, 1963:

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

The Democratic Party is now controlled by progressives (aka socialists).

Although the conservative blogsphere suspected all of this, the proof that a Marxist was elected as President of the US with the assistance of a compliant MSM and the Democratic Party is chilling.

A Federal Judge overturned California’s Proposition 8, the ban on homosexual marriage. This is the second time a Judge has overturned legislation that was voted in by the people of California. The first was back in May of 2008, when the California Supreme Court struck down Proposition 22, which was voted in back in March 2000. It passed by a margin of 61.4% to 38%. Proposition 8 passed back on November 2008 by a margin of 52.2% to 47.8%.

Charles Donovan, Senior Research Fellow with the Heritage Foundation had this to say. From The Orange County Register:

Today’s decision by a federal district judge in San Francisco striking down state constitutional protections for marriage and inventing a spurious federal constitutional right to same-sex marriage is an example of extreme judicial activism. Moreover, it is an affront to the millions of California voters who approved Proposition 8 in 2008 after months of vigorous public debate.

Governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed. The people of California, and the United States, have made clear in numerous ways that they have not consented to the redefinition of marriage. For the past two decades they have considered the arguments advanced by some for overturning marriage as it has been understood in our country. In state after state – 45 in all – they have chosen to reaffirm the meaning of marriage as the union of one man and one woman. They have done so because they understand that establishing same-sex marriage would transform the institution into a set of private interests rather than buttress it as a multi-generational reality binding mothers, fathers and their children biologically, socially and legally.

Again, this is the second time the judiciary has overturned the will of the people of California, judicial tyranny at its worst!

The New York Times met with the Obama Administration and reviewed the Afghan War information they obtained from WikiLeaks. I didn’t know about this until RC Forums member SMZ brought this up yesterday and tired_of_it provided the link to the salon.com article on it. Times Washington bureau chief Dean Baquet reports:

I did in fact go the White House and lay out for them what we had,” Baquet said. “We did it to give them the opportunity to comment and react. They did. They also praised us for the way we handled it, for giving them a chance to discuss it, and for handling the information with care. And for being responsible.

I do give the NYT credit for disclosing what they had to the Obama Administration. What I found upsetting about this was the reported reaction of the Obama Administration.

The Times redacted some information in the name of “national security” and protecting the safety of individual soldiers, but the White House doesn’t seem to have told the Times that publishing stories based on these documents would in any real way harm our troops.

If this in fact was the true, “behind the scenes” reaction of the Obama Administration, they are at the least, naive to believe that the leak of these documents will not harm our troops and/or at the worst, they are complicit for not being more forceful in preventing the secret documents from being published.

We’ll see in the coming days what sort of stories come out of the WikiLeaks Afghan War documents but I don’t see anything good coming from this. Hard decisions are made by our troops in combat situations and sometimes wrong targets are hit and civilians end up getting killed. This is especially true when fighting Islamic Jihadists, whose cowardly tactics include using civilians as human shields. When trying to root the Jihadists out, civilian casualties are inevitable due to those tactics. Will our brave troops be depicted as blood thirsty baby killers as the liberal MSM painted them during the Vietnam War? If so, I’ll hold WikiLeaks, the NYT and the other MSM outlets who received the documents and also the Obama Administration, for their non-action, responsible for repeating the sins of the past and allowing our troops to be maligned and vilified!

There you have it, a left wing environmentalist who was once a part of the AGW movement and is now speaking out against it because it’s a hoax and a scam.

Continuing today on the subject of Journolist, one of the people targeted was Fred Barnes who is the executive editor of the Weekly Standard and a commentator on Fox News Channel. From theDaily Caller:

In one instance, Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent urged his colleagues to deflect attention from Obama’s relationship with Wright by changing the subject. Pick one of Obama’s conservative critics, Ackerman wrote, “Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares — and call them racists.”

Here’s Barnes’ take on the Journolist issue and the liberal biased MSM in general. From the Wall Street Journal:

My response has usually been to say, yes, there’s liberal bias in the media, but there’s no conspiracy. The liberal tilt is an accident of nature. The media disproportionately attracts people from a liberal arts background who tend, quite innocently, to be politically liberal. If they came from West Point or engineering school, this wouldn’t be the case.

Now, after learning I’d been targeted for a smear attack by a member of an online clique of liberal journalists, I’m inclined to amend my response. Not to say there’s a media conspiracy, but at least to note that hundreds of journalists have gotten together, on an online listserv called JournoList, to promote liberalism and liberal politicians at the expense of traditional journalism.

My guess is that this and other revelations about JournoList will deepen the distrust of the national press. True, participants in the online clubhouse appear to hail chiefly from the media’s self-identified left wing. But its founder, Ezra Klein, is a prominent writer for the Washington Post. Mr. Klein shut down JournoList last month—a wise decision.

We here at rochesterconservative.com know of this liberal bias first hand because as pioneers of the Tea Party Movement, we’ve been targeted by it in a seemingly organized fashion that seems like those journalists colluded with each other.

Fred Barnes brought up a good point, that the members of Journolist promoted “liberalism and liberal politicians at the expense of traditional journalism”. IMO, most of the MSM has voluntarily acted as the propaganda arm for Obama’s campaign in 2008 and for him and his administration after they helped him win the election.

This sort of collusion of the MSM actively promoting and covering for political candidates and elected officials brings to mind Rep. A. S. Herlong, JR. of Florida reading of the Communist Goals on the House Floor on January 10 1963. Two of those goals concern the MSM:

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

We’re there right now. This is exactly what got Obama elected, a complicit MSM. Far left ideologues have infiltrated the MSM and are voluntarily pushing this agenda and promoting politicians who are also believes in this world socialist (aka communist) revolution. Our country is being pushed away from being a Constitutional Republic towards a European style socialist democracy. We all know what the evils of government run socialism can bring, over 100 million deaths of innocent civilians during the 20th Century. I cannot understand why these supposedly educated people in the MSM would actively work to push our country in this direction. Utopia is unattainable and ends up being deadly for those living in countries trying to attain it.

The news has been breaking about the secretive Journolist, the listserv where liberal journalists tried to shield their favored Presidential candidate, Barack Obama and spiked the Jeremiah Wright story. The Daily Caller broke the story yesterday:

The crisis reached a howling pitch in mid-April, 2008, at an ABC News debate moderated by Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopoulos. Gibson asked Obama why it had taken him so long – nearly a year since Wright’s remarks became public – to dissociate himself from them. Stephanopoulos asked, “Do you think Reverend Wright loves America as much as you do?”

Watching this all at home were members of Journolist, a listserv comprised of several hundred liberal journalists, as well as like-minded professors and activists. The tough questioning from the ABC anchors left many of them outraged. “George [Stephanopoulos],” fumed Richard Kim of the Nation, is “being a disgusting little rat snake.”

IMO, Stephanopoulos has treated Obama with kid gloves. So has most of the media. They are complicit in the non-vetting of the former community organizer with little executive experience who never met a radical that he didn’t like.

The story with Journolist gets nastier though:

Others went further. According to records obtained by The Daily Caller, at several points during the 2008 presidential campaign a group of liberal journalists took radical steps to protect their favored candidate. Employees of news organizations including Time, Politico, the Huffington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Guardian, Salon and the New Republic participated in outpourings of anger over how Obama had been treated in the media, and in some cases plotted to fix the damage.

To those of us who participate on commenting on the D&C OPINION Page, you’re very familiar of the racist charge. When the liberals are on the losing end of a debate, they revert to personal attacks and calling us (conservatives) racists.

The Tea Party Movement is very familiar with this tactic and the D&C OPINION published a series of editorials by a cabal of journalists led by Eugene Robinson, Clarence Page and Bob Ray Sanders, vilifying us as violent racists. I wrote about it in my article, The Democrat and Chronicle’s Campaign of Lies Malign the Tea Party Movement.

There is definitely a campaign of collusion in the MSM to cover for Obama and the Daily Caller article proves it.

In a post to the list-serv Journolist, an online meeting place for liberal journalists, Spitz wrote that she would “Laugh loudly like a maniac and watch his eyes bug out” as Limbaugh writhed in torment.

In boasting that she would gleefully watch a man die in front of her eyes, Spitz seemed to shock even herself. “I never knew I had this much hate in me,” she wrote. “But he deserves it.”

Spitz’s hatred for Limbaugh seems intemperate, even imbalanced. On Journolist, where conservatives are regarded not as opponents but as enemies, it barely raised an eyebrow.

I don’t find it surprising that Spitz hates Rush and hates conservatives in general. Again, I see this attitude on a daily basis on the D&C.

Let’s face it folks, we are in the midst of an ideological war in this country. The exposure of the Journolist and reading the true, unguarded feelings of liberal journalists should be a wake up call to the remainder of us who are still in slumber. They don’t want debate, they want dominance. Instead of honestly reporting on it, they covered for Obama and his virulantly racist pastor, Jeremiah Wright.

HowardRoarke posted the following video to the RC Forums yesterday. Breitbart TV released these videos in response to the NAACP’s resolution of racism in the Tea Party Movement. Check out this video taken at the NAACP Freedom Fund dinner in Georgia.

Unbelievable! And the NAACP has the nerve to call the Tea Party racist! They basically awarded racism in the above video.

The NAACP is holding their annual national convention and approved a resolution condemning bigotry within the Tea Party Movement. From Yahoo News:

We felt the time had come to stand up and say, ‘It’s time for the tea party to be responsible members of this democracy and make sure they don’t tolerate bigots or bigotry among their members,’” NAACP President Ben Jealous said ahead of the debate. “We don’t have a problem with the tea party’s existence. We have an issue with their acceptance and welcoming of white supremacists into their organizations.”

Tea party activist Alex Poulter, who co-founded a Kansas City-area group called Political Chips, disputed the allegations. He said the movement is made up of a “diverse group of folks who are upset with what is going on with this country.”

Poulter said he has seen no evidence of racism within the movement.

“It’s unfounded but people are running with these accusations like they are true,” he said.

The Tea Party Movement is not racist and the NAACP is basing their bogus resolution on a manufactured incident where U.S. Reps. John Lewis, Andre Carson and Emanuel Cleaver purposely walked through Tea Partiers who were protesting the Health Care Reform (NOT!) Bill and claimed racial epithets were hurled at them and Cleaver claims he was spat upon. We carried the story here on rochesterconservative.com on Andrew Breitbart’s $100,000 Challenge, with several videos that prove that no racial epithets were uttered and nobody spat upon Emanuel Cleaver. Nobody has stepped forward to accept Breitbart’s challenge to provide evidence that the “N” word was used.

I’ve helped organize and participated in all four of the Rochester Tea Parties and there was no racism diplayed. We welcome people of all races to participate in the Rochester Tea Party Movement and we do not tolerate racism or violence. African American people have spoken at all of our Tea Parties. I’ve been in contact with Tea Party organizers across the country and they all report the same thing, that they have witnessed no racism at their Tea Parties nor do they tolerate it.

Here’s what the person who introduced the resolution gave as a reason for it:

“They are pulling people together and focusing on the negative, and then it’s hard to make anything positive out of that,” said Anita L. Russell, president of the Kansas City, Mo., branch of the NAACP, which introduced the resolution. “And then these groups, these extremist groups, are looking for something, and they are latching on to this. The thing is going to grow and grow out of control.”

Where is Ms. Russell getting her information from? The Tea Parties have been positive and uplifting experiences. We don’t have extremist groups participating, we have regular working class folks, most of whom who have never participated in protests and marches.

I conclude that the resolution by the NAACP is yet another example of the bogus vilification of the Tea Party Movement that’s being orchestrated in the MSM. The racists are not in the Tea Party Party Movement, they are the ones who are making the baseless accusations.

It’s looking like the mid-term elections this coming November could be a disaster for the Democrats. Tea Party activists have made “Remember in November” the battle cry for the upcoming elections and are backing political and economic conservative candidates to turn the tide of big government socialism that’s been brought on during the Obama era.

Many people are suspecting that Obama and the Democrats have something up their sleeves in order to stay in power, an “October surprise” that will hurt America. Pamela Geller speculated on the suspected “October surprise” in American Thinker:

The October Surprise. We all know it’s coming. In what shape, idea, form — who’s to say? Evil always surprises. Its goals are constant, the ultimate objective never changes, but inevitably it manifests itself as the savior of the day, the savior of man. The 2008 Democrat October Surprise that ushered in the first hardcore radical post-American president in American history was the “economic collapse.” Oh yes, that was a beaut.

The time before that, the moochers and the looters tried to fake Bush documents — except that the conservative blogosphere caught them red-handed, so they missed their mark.

But the party of haters, infiltrators, anti-capitalists, the party that is anti-freedom and anti-individual rights, is going to have to pull off something really catastrophic to stay in power this November. And they will, because it is abundantly clear now that they despise the premise of America and they mean to replace it with statism, the source of untold, incomprehensible human misery for centuries.

Pamela Geller’s description of our opposition is on the money. I’ve participated on and off for almost 5 years now and I’m still amazed at the number of anti-American, anti free enterprise, big government statists that post there and their justifications for stealing the wealth of others to give to the entitlement class (aka socialist wealth redistribution). They are the first to get nasty and personally attack conservatives and it happens on a regular basis and the D&C will allow the perpetrators to keep on posting while they arbitrarily ban conservative posters for their ideals. This is what we’re up against folks, a stacked deck where the rules favor the radicals

What will October’s Surprise be? Political analyst Jack Wheeler has an idea. “A Second Great Depression,” he says, “is the Democrat Party’s path to power”:

Our country is faced with an impending economic catastrophe, a Second Great Depression. It is being brought about on purpose by a political party that cares only for keeping and expanding its power, and looks upon prosperity as a threat to that power.

There’s been a lot of speculation that we may be on the verge of another Great Depression. So far, Obama and the Democrats have been implementing the Cloward-Piven Strategy to a “T”. Don’t be surprised if this all comes down this coming October.
