This thrust of this piece is not for the patriot, the American that is vigilant of government, the individual that is actively working to restore our constitutional republic, or the man or woman that clearly views a threat to American freedom and liberty in our nation today.

Then who should learn about this rant? Every American that each of us can contact through our email lists, blogs, letters to editors, organizations we belong, candidate forums, et al., with the warning that America’s future is precarious if “we the people” ignore our responsibility and right to vote November 2, 2010 or make wrong choices.

There can be no doubt all America is aware, but may not comprehend, the bizarre and potentially fatal method the Obama Administration and Congress is governing America .

From ruling by czars, radicals in government, to fiscal insanity involving bail-outs, bank takeovers, fascist automobile industry interference, to socializing healthcare, encouraging immorality, demonizing America abroad, 2nd Amendment threats, ignoring sovereignty issues, suing a State Governor for taking measures to protect her citizens, condoning voter intimidation, encouraging racial confrontation in America, attempting to degrade the United States military, putting two wars on the back burner, to name a few serious issues. When viewed together, a destructive path emerges for America , if not peacefully reversed quickly.

If….the millions of Americans who are not registered to vote do not get registered; the millions who are registered and rarely vote, fail to vote in November; those that have been complacent with the attitude “let someone else do it” , fail to get energized to vote; those that excuse their duty to vote with a “my vote won’t count” and fail to seriously evaluate the threat to America and come to realize how critical every vote is; and if “we the people” do not ensure a free ballot box, the result will be America reflecting an attitude of surrender.

Our prayer must be that a free people will still have a choice and the courage in November 2010 to make right decisions. To reverse the threat to America we must select conservative, constitutional committed, Founding Father visioned, morally courageous candidates, with unwavering support for principles embedded in our Declaration of Independence, United States Constitution, and Bill of Rights.

Failure of Americans of every color, race, ethnic background, political persuasion, gender, religion, to peacefully vote for right principles November 2, 2010 will signal continuation to those of the Marxist/socialist/communist ideology who are presently destroying over 200 years of freedom and liberty in America .

If the above failure occurs, I believe it will generate a massive, painful, bloody revolt in America . The overwhelming majority of Americans understand and abhor the thought of conflict in our beautiful land…but blood will flow before surrender to a dictator or socialist, communist regime. God help us keep our knees bent to Him, not a dictator.

We Surround Rochester RSVP Page for the Restoring Honor Rally

The “Restoring Honor” Rally is a non-political fundraiser for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. This non-profit provides support and assistance to the families of wounded and fallen special operations personnel. This includes 60,000 of America’s elite troops such as Navy SEALs, Army Green Berets and Rangers, Air force Combat Controllers and Marine Corps Special Operations.

There’s going to be a great line-up of speakers and entertainers including, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Jo Dee Messina (“I’m All Right, Bring on the Rain”), Gary Sinise (Lt Dan in Forrest Gump), Marcus Luttrell, David Barton and the largest collection of Medal of Honor recipients that have ever been assembled.

I woke up early yesterday (4/15/2010) morning with much excitement in anticipation of the 2010 Tax Day Rochester Tea Party! After I poured myself a cup of coffee, I turned on the TV and tuned it to WHAM TV-13. Mike Deming and Gabe Sukenik were going to be giving interviews. Evan Dawson interviewed Mike and Gabe and also gave reports from Genesee Crossroads Park, the location of the Tea Party. He was fair in his questions and reporting and we all certainly appreciate it!

Local Tea Partiers defy labels

It was a pretty fair article but her mention of racism was unwarranted and rubbed me the wrong way.

Unlike organized political parties, the loose affiliation of Tea Party activists can make the group unpredictable, and some of their rally signs can be controversial at best, racist at worst.

We’ve never had racism displayed at any of our Tea Parties, it’s a myth that’s perpetuated by the media and doesn’t reflect the reality of the situation and it’s time it was put to rest! Jill, I did not see you at the Tea Party yesterday, but if you were there, you would have witnessed that there was no racism. We told you at the meeting that we don’t tolerate racism or violence.

I left the house at 9am. My wife and our neighbor joined me this year. We encouraged people to invite their families and friends to the Tea Party so that they can experience them first hand. They are fun events, full of patriotism and they have a street fair atmosphere to them!

When we arrived at the park, Mike was already there with his son. Gabe, Linda, Guy and Rich were also there and Art and his son also showed. We all pitched in and helped haul the PA’s, tables, podium into the rally point in the park, at the “Y” of the Sister Cities Bridge. I noticed that the portapotties were already in place. Jon and his crew from “Mr. V’s” were also there with their food cart to provide lunch for the participants.

The forecast for the day called for temperatures in the high 60′s with a chance of scattered showers in the afternoon. It was kind of cloudy all morning and some folks mentioned that it rained a bit at their homes. While we were setting up, the clouds parted and dissipated and it warmed up real nicely. It felt more like San Diego rather than Rochester in April!

Bob called me to let me know that he arrived. Bob was bringing the generator. There were no working outlets at the park, so a generator was needed to power the PA’s. He brought his portable Honda that was rated at 2000 watts. It runs real quiet and we didn’t even notice it.

Helen, Valerie, Lisa, Paul and the rest of the We Surround Rochester folks showed up to help with the setup and they got the information tables set up for the organizations that were organizing and supporting the Tax Day Rochester Tea Party. Folks from We Surround Rochester, Campaign For Liberty, Young Americans For Liberty, RochesterWatch and RochesterConservative.com all pitched in with talent and treasure to make this years Tea Party a success! Many thanks to all who helped!

Once the PA’s were set up and tuned, Billy Joe and Dave from Billy Joe and the Blues Gypsies performed a great accoustic blues set that set a festive tone for this year’s Tea Party. Billy Joe’s daughter, Gypsy Rose, also joined in and sang for a few songs during the set and it was so cool and the crowd really loved it!

You can see Billy Joe and the Blues Gypsies play every Friday evening from 6pm-9pm at Six Pockets Bar, Grill and Billiards in the Ridge/Hudson Plaza at 716 East Ridge Rd., 266-1440. My wife and I are going to check out their “electrified” set!

Pretty much everyone in the crowd had smiles on their faces and there was much laughter and good vibes! We joked with each other on how there were so many angry red necks, the mantra that the MSM is trying to perpetuate and it’s just not true! You had to be there to experience what can only be described as a fun and inspiring event, full of patriotism and love of our country!

At 11:40am, I gathered the folks who volunteered for the Rochester Veterans and Patriots Color Guard and we crossed the bridge to prepare for the Presentation of the Colors. We met with our bagpiper, Scott and our bugler, Chris, and planned out what we were going to do. At High Noon, Chris played a bugle call, to get everyone’s attention and then played “To the Colors”, annnouncing the Presentation of the Colors.

We marched across the Sister Cities Bridge, towards the crowd and it was an exhilirating experience!

Next up was the Salute to Veterans, that I led. We dedicated that part of the program to Tea Party pioneer, Charlie Eames, who passed away back on November 1, 2009. Charlie spoke at all of the Rochester Tea Parties and has long been involved in promoting Liberty. Linda got a photo of Charlie, saluting during the National Anthem, and blew it up poster size. She held it up during my introduction and we presented it to Charlie’s wife, daughter and aunt.

Our bagpiper, Scott, then played a medley of the Service Anthems and I called out each branch and asked veterans who served in that branch to give a wave and the crowd to give them a big cheer.

The 2010 Tax Day Rochester Tea Party is being organized by a coalition of grassroots groups and bloggers that include, We Surround Rochester, Campaign For Liberty, Young Americans For Liberty and RochesterConservative.com. The theme of the Tea Party is Redress of Grievances Concerning Fiscal and Economic Policy. Please make up signs that go along with the theme!

There’s going to be tables set up for the organizations that are organizing and supporting the Tea Party, so get to Genesee Crossroads Park at 11:30am to mingle amongst the tables and get acquainted with the groups and the other people that are participating! Folksinger Liz Abbott will be performing during this time as well. The formal presentation portion of the Tea Party will kick off 12noon with the Presentation of the Colors.

Much has been made lately on the Internet, the national MSM and even the local news about Tea Party crashers, who have threatened to disrupt Tea Parties across the nation. Why somebody would want to do something like this is beyond me, but we are prepared for them if they show up at the Tax Day Rochester Tea Party.

We have made the proper arrangements with the City of Rochester and obtained the necessary permits to hold our event at Genesee Crossroads Park. This is vital because we have Rochester Police Department (RPD) protection as a result. I spoke with the RPD Sergeant who is in charge of the detail that will be patrolling the Tea Party on Thursday. I told him of the threat from the Tea Party crashers. The RPD will have mounted (horses) and motorcycle police as well as foot patrols that will be circulating through the crowd and if anybody steps over the line and gets violent, they will be arrested.

Here’s some other plans that we have to deal with the Tea Party crashers, if they show up, courtesy of Tea Party Patriots:

In any event, we know that infiltrators might be coming to our tea parties. But remember last April 15th; the idea that the tea parties would be infiltrated in the same way was all over the news. The results? Virtually no infiltration. We know they might be coming, and they know we know. And they know we are ready. So if you’re a couple of guys who enjoy wearing Nazi uniforms or holding racist signs, are you really likely to show up…just a couple of you, all alone, at a well organized tea party of 1,000-20,000 people who disagree with you? I haven’t seen many leftists with that much spine. They prefer to hide in the shadows. They don’t want to be identified. And we ARE ready to identify them. Do they really want their mugs pasted all over the internet holding racist signs? Hmmm…they might find it funny to think about and even to threaten, but it’s probably not a good career move, and most will chicken out before they ever get started.

So here are some tips for dealing with this situation, should it arise at your tea party.

1. Be prepared. Make sure your community event team knows about the potential for disturbance, and your procedures for dealing with any issues. If you have law enforcement at your event, let them know about the potential threats in advance. Most are happy to remove people who intend to disturb your event.

a. Have a plan. We suggest that you handle every incident in a predetermined manner. Your preparation will allow you to handle any incident in a calm and reasoned manner.

i. No aggressive confrontation. Make sure all of your people know that they are in the media spotlight. Our behavior will be watched. So if you encounter these miscreants, be polite, and ask them to leave your event. If you have police there, ask them to help you.

ii. Video, video, video. Make sure you have teams of people with Flip cams or other easy format video, and make sure every single encounter of this nature is captured on videotape. Create the record. We’ll use it later to publicly humiliate the bad actors, and also to allow you to prove your version of the incidents if challenged.

iii. Partner up. If you are going to deal with one of these situations, always have at least one other person with you. It’s imperative that any situation not be your word against someone else’s. Have a witness and a helper with you at all times.

iv. Make signs that say “Infiltrator. This person is not with us.” Put a big arrow on it so that you can stand next to infiltrators and point at them. Usually this will embarrass them, ruin their prank, and they will leave. Plus it’s just plain fun and makes for great photos and video. Again…always with good humor, and a cheerful demeanor.

b. Talk about the issue of behavior and signs at the beginning of your event. Set the guidelines from stage.

i. No signs or behavior evidencing bigotry or racism of any kind will be tolerated, and people will be asked to get rid of them or leave.

ii. We are polite, law abiding people, and that’s how we run our events.

iii. Ask attendees to immediately report any suspicious people to the community event team or the police (according to your own guidelines).

c. Don’t worry…be happy. If you weren’t so good at what you are doing, and so successful at influencing the debate in this country, people wouldn’t feel compelled to try to shoot you down using sleazy tactics. You are dominating the political playing field, and doing so by being honest, operating with integrity and staying within the law. Be proud of what you are accomplishing, and enjoy your day.

The present Tea Party Movement has it’s roots in the historical past. Myron Magnet from City Journal wrote a great commentary on the subject, “Bracing Brew: Bring on the Tea Parties!”:

The Tea Party movement is a healthy reminder that the United States began as a tax revolt. From the 1765 Stamp Act Congress, when the American colonists first called their representatives together to declare their “undoubted right . . . that no taxes be imposed on them, but with their own consent,” to the Boston Tea Party eight years later, when the Sons of Liberty dumped a shipload of tea into the harbor rather than accept Britain’s right to tax that normally soothing commodity, the Founding Fathers militantly denied that “all the fruits of [the colonists’] labour and industry may be taken from [them] whenever an avaricious governor and a rapacious council may incline to demand them,” as future chief justice John Jay put it in 1775. After all, they reasoned as they took up arms against their king, government exists to protect “certain inherent rights, namely, the enjoyment of life and liberty, with the means of acquiring and possessing property, and pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety,” as George Mason summed up Lockean orthodoxy in Virginia’s Bill of Rights. Therefore, when a government invades rather than safeguards property through taxation without consent, it cancels its own legitimacy.

History often repeats itself and 235 years later, we have a government spending billions of our tax dollars on a pork-laden Stimulus Package and also a Health Care Reform (NOT!) Bill that does little to reform and that the majority of the American people do not want. Our representatives in the House and in the Senate are acting like they’re royalty, thinking that they know better than the people they represent and shoving legislation down our throats that we do not want but that we do have to pay for!

Myron Magnet goes on to write:

So it was exhilarating to hear CNBC financial reporter Rick Santelli invoke these great doings of two centuries ago in his famous February 2009 outburst that gave birth to the Tea Party movement. Two days earlier, newly inaugurated president Barack Obama had signed his $787 billion stimulus act, which taxpayers ultimately must finance, and which went in part to keep bloated state and local governments from having to fire the unnecessary “swarms of officers” that “harass our people, and eat out their substance,” as the Declaration of Independence described King George’s tax-financed colonial officials. The next day, Obama had proposed a $75 billion mortgage-modification program to save sinking borrowers from foreclosure. Why doesn’t the president have a referendum “to see if we really want to subsidize the losers’ mortgages?” Santelli demanded. Turning to the commodity traders behind him at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, he asked, “How many of you people want to pay your neighbor’s mortgage, that has an extra bathroom and can’t pay their bills?” Discomfited by the roar of anti-bailout booing from the floor, Santelli’s New York anchorman warily observed, “These people are like putty in your hands.”

“No, they’re not,” Santelli countered. “This is America. Cuba used to have mansions and a relatively decent economy. They moved from the individual to the collective; now they’re driving ’54 Chevys—maybe the last great car to come out of Detroit. We’re thinking of having a Chicago Tea Party in July. I’m going to start organizing. If you look at our Founding Fathers, like Franklin and Jefferson—what we’re doing right now is making them roll over in their graves.”

Americans are peace loving and hard working people. We love our families and want the best for them. We just want to live our lives in liberty and not be messed with by outside sources, but especially by the government. Perhaps we take the freedom that we have for granted at times and that it takes a clarion call from the Rick Santelli’s of the world, to awaken the sleeping giant of the American working class people.

It certainly woke up people here in Rochester, NY. We discussed having a Tea Party over in the RochesterConservative Forums. Then we heard that NY Gov. David Paterson was coming to Rochester for a town hall meeting at the Convention Center on March 12, 2009. With only nine days of planning and limited publicity, 40 brave souls gathered across the Genesee River from the Convention Center for the “Commando” Rochester Tea Party, to rally against not only the Porkulus Package, but also the corrupt New York State government, led by Gov. Paterson.

We held two more Tea Parties in Rochester in 2009, the Tax Day Rochester Tea Party that drew 1,500 people for a rally then a historic march through downtown Rochester and the Independence Day Tea Party at Ontario Beach Park. We traveled to the March On Albany, to rally against excessive taxation and malfeasance in New York State. We also had four bus loads and several car loads of people travel down to Washington DC to join the million plus Patriots on 9/12/2009.

With very short notice, 50,000 Patriots made their way to Washington DC for the “Kill the Bill” rally outside the Capitol Building in Washington DC on March 20, 2010. We rallied locally in front of Rep. Dan Maffei’s office in Irondequoit and also had a couple of car loads of Rochester folks participate that same day in the “Kill the Bill” rally. Although it didn’t stop the Health Care Reform (NOT!) bill from passing, it sent a message to Congress and the President that they are acting against the will of the people and their actions have awakened the populace!

Like any grassroots revolt, starting with the colonial committees of correspondence, the Tea Party movement begins with a resounding No! As one sign commenting on the president’s health-care takeover phrased it, RAM IT DOWN OUR THROATS, AND WE’LL SHOVE IT UP YOUR—and here followed a picture of a bucking Democratic donkey. And the No! is remarkably sweeping. Spluttered a well-coiffed, well-mannered lady of retirement age in Texas, “We have been very angry—I love President Bush, but he kept spending money, money, money.” Passionate, fast-expanding, and armed with all the latest electronic technology that Obama deployed so brilliantly in his campaign—Facebook, Twitter, Meetup.com, and so on—the Tea Partiers will surely influence candidate selections and electoral races this year and in 2012. The question is, how fully will they embrace the radicalism of their own radically American creed?

Regular, working class people are taking to the streets in and effort to get the government’s attention and tell them to stop with this government expanding, unconstitutional, liberty killing legistlation! We need to do more, though. We need to organize ourselves and set our sights on the November 2, 2010 mid-term elections. Two Congressional Representatives from the Rochester, Louise Slaughter (NY 28th) and Dan Maffei (NY 25th), voted for both the Porkulus Package and the Health Care Reform (NOT!) bill. We need to VOTE THEM OUT in the upcoming election!

Please come to the 2010 Tax Day Rochester Tea Party, on April 15 at 11:30am. There will be groups there that are actively working to unseat Slaughter and Maffei. We need to take our country back, one congressional district at a time!

The final debate for the House Democrat Health Care Reform bill will be taking place this weekend. From Paul Kane of the Washington Post:

It will be close to a high-noon showdown on Sunday, as shortly thereafter the final debate on President Obama’s health-care legislation is set to begin.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) announced the weekend debate schedule, with a 72-hour march culminating at 1 p.m. Sunday. Democrats expect a final vote sometime Sunday evening, Sunday night or possibly early Monday morning.

We’ve gotten inquiries here about organizing a trip to Washington DC to protest against this awful bill. I can’t go, but I will try to hook people up so you can share vehicles and expenses for the trip down. Patriots,

America is on a critical slope toward Constitutional destruction…..if the US Congress is allowed to violate Article 1 Section 7 by using a rule to vote on the health care legislation rather than an up or down vote on the legislation as required in the US Constitution, we will move swiftly toward anarchy………..

I’m asking you to do something I can’t do myself due to my wife being hospitalized with a blood clot and I cannot leave her at this point……..please, please, if you can possibly get to Washington, DC for the “ring the US Capitol” with patriots on Saturday, do so. High noon is the critical time to be in DC with hundreds of thousands of patriots that love our Constitution, locked arm in arm, shoulder to shoulder around the US Capitol.

It’s not that we oppose reform of our health care in America….it’s that we oppose the slimy way it’s being done and the billions of dollars in the current legislation that is in the form of special funding for select States, a fraudulent accounting, God only knows what is in the legislation….there is also indication that a “micro-chip” will be required for future health care users…….read for yourself here AboveTopSecret

This health care legislation is a violation of our personal freedom, liberty, and forces us into slavery to a tyrannical government system…….WE MUST STOP IT before America goes up in flames……..IT’S THAT IMPORTANT.

Speaker Pelosi will stop at nothing to fulfill her corrupt conquests. She will bring all of the corrupt ACORN liars to try to bully all the Democrats that may be having pangs of guilt knowing quite surely what their votes can and will do. Be there in Washington DC at 12 noon EST so we can give all the Democrats who know what the end result will be the courage to say: “No, do not pass this destructive bill.”

So, if you’re going to Washington DC this weekend, there will be protests. It’s a 6 to 8 hour drive to get there, so in order to make it to the rally/protest with Jon Voight that starts on Saturday at 12noon, you will have to leave just past midnight, so you can get there in time and find parking.
