Formed in in Houston, TX in 1969, ZZ Top is one of the few bands to last that long, a tribute to their blues-based music. Billy Gibbons (lead vocals, guitar), Dusty Hill (vocals, bass, keyboards), and Frank Beard (drums, percussion) make up ZZ Top. I was introduced to them in 1974 by my room mate in USAF Tech School and have been a fan of them ever since. ZZ Top was elected into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March 2004. I’m featuring a live performance of “Just Got Paid” where Billy Gibbons just cranks it out on the bottle-neck slide guitar. I hope you enjoy it!
