Homeland Security Tracked Abortion Groups in Wisconsin

Ever since word got out on the Janet Napolitano led Department of Homeland Security (DHS) threat assessment memo, issued back in April 7, 2009, I wondered how it would manifest. That memo, which targeted conservative bloggers, veterans groups, pro-life activists and gun owners as potential terrorists, early on showed the hand of the Obama Administration on who they saw as their political and ideological opposition, and how they’d deal with it, by labeling us as potential terrorist threats.

As it turns out, the DHS has admitted that it wrongly tracked abortion groups in Wisconsin. This from Steven Ertelt of LifeNews.com:

Madison, WI (LifeNews.com) — The Department of Homeland Security admitted today that it improperly conducted a threat assessment on pro-life and pro-abortion groups in Wisconsin. The assessment came before an expected rally last year in response to the University of Wisconsin Hospital board decided to allow abortions.

In February 2009, pro-life advocates planned to protest the hospital’s decision to open up a new Madison Surgery Center doing abortions.

The Associated Press reported today that the department said in a memo that it “destroyed all of the copies of the assessment after an internal review found it violated intelligence gathering guidelines about ‘protest groups which posed no threat to homeland security.’”

This “assessment” predates the release of the Napolitano DHS threat assessment memo, however; it shows the pattern of intent, that the Obama Administration considers pro-life protesters as terrorist threats.

As a conservative blogger, veteran, pro-lifer, defender of the Constitution (including the 2nd Amendment) and Tea Party activist, I have to wonder if DHS has conducted an “assessment” of our local activities in Rochester and the Tea Party Movement in general? I wouldn’t doubt it.

It wouldn’t surprise me if RC and many other blogs are under surveillance.

We have been and I know it. You don’t get visits from the digital brownshirts unless you’re on the Obamabot radar. When veterans are targeted as terrorist threats, that’s when the realization hits that the moonbats are running the show… time to hunker down, man!
