I heard this exchange between Katie Couric and Obama, while listening to Rush on the way home from work. Needless to say, Rush went ballistic over this and so did I. Obama has no idea of what he’s talking about and totally disrespected the fantastic leadership provided by General Petraeus. Check this out:

Okay Barry, I know that you have no frigging clue what you are doing and other than one speech (written by someone else) that you mindlessly mouthed into a teleprompter, so let me help you out.

Your approach has been tried before. It didn’t work so well. Don’t take my word for it, when the gutless DEMOCRATS killed funding for Vietnam and the country was left on its own, millions died in a genocide like the world had not seen in quite some time. Of course you are on the record as saying that averting “genocide” was not a reason to stay in Iraq.

If we’d had followed Obama’s advice about Iraq two years ago, it would have been disastrous! Obama was against the Surge an operation that’s proved to be highly successful, but Obama won’t admit his stance was wrong and still wants to give the Islamofascist terrorists a heads-up timetable of troop withdrawals!

BTW, John McCain has a much better understanding of the situation over in Iraq and Afghanistan and it showed in this interview. Of course, John McCain is a decorated 23 year Navy Veteran with combat and command experience. What branch of the service did Obama serve in… oh, that’s right, Obama never bothered to serve!

Kudos to Katie Couric for asking Obama the hard questions, something the MSM has been giving him a free pass on. I’ve never been a Katie Couric fan, but credit is due to her for the courage and persistence in getting to the truth on Obama’s denial of the success of the Surge!
