Wow, wasn't it Obama that said that if we didn't pass the stimulus, we'd have 9% unemployment and if we did, it would stop at 8%? Didn't he say that it wasn't "just spending" but it was stimulus, even though he knew then most of the money wouldn't be spent for more than a year? Isn't the money going to bankroll states, rather than jobs, so the states don't have to adjust their budgets?

Wendell Potter is Senior Fellow for Heath Care at the Center for Media and Democracy, a leftist think tank specializing in public health, environmentalism, labor, etc. It was founded by John Stauber, who wrote a couple of anti-Bush books and is involved in projects like community organizing, communal living, environmental activism, etc. At a minimum, Potter has an axe to grind, but given the company he keeps, he's probably become an anti-insurance activist himself.

Michael Moore doesn't ever get much right in his documentaries... Mostly because his documentaries are purely propaganda, as evidenced by how he'll cut scenes together to get the message he wants someone to say, rather than what they're saying... and his open willingness to ignore any facts that disagree with his premise. Moore's work starts with an ideal and will only show information conducive to promoting that ideal.

Wow.....you mean the stimulus hasn't fixed everything in 4 months? Gee...what an outrage.

I guess this means we should ignore the obvious problems with our health care system.

Yeah. That all makes perfect sense. (*roll*)

Rawstory.com has posted video of PBS Bill Moyers interview with Wendall Potter, a former executive with insurance giant CIGNA.

http://rawstory.com/blog/2009/07/video-insurance-lobbys-secret-plan-to-attack-sicko-and-michael-moore/

In the interview Potter admits that Michael Moore had it right in his movie "Sicko" and that the insurance industry and thier lobbyists contrived a plan to discredit Moore and get any plan for national health care shot down. And their plan worked. Now we have people who resist national health care, parroting the lobbyist line of "socialism" which is exactly what the insurance industry wanted.

Amazing how easy it is in this country to get people to go against their own best interest.
