I got the word from my buddy, concretebob, that the Parade and Celebration for our troops for our Victory in Iraq will be held in Washington DC on Saturday, April 4, 2009. Capt Larry Bailey USN (Ret), Chairman of Gathering of Eagles, Mike Connelly, Chairman of EaglesUP and concretebob thought it would be a great idea to have a full blown welcome home and thank you to our Troops for winning and making Iraq a safer place.

As more information comes to me on this, I’ll share it with you all. I plan on being there in Washington DC for this event and if others who read the rochesterconservative.com that would like to attend are welcome. Email me at rochester_veteran@yahoo.com if you’re interested in going. I do plan on driving down to DC this year, rather than take the bus. I’m getting too old for 12 hour bus trips and cleaning up in bus station restrooms!
