June 9th, 2008 · 3 Comments

I wanted to let RochesterConservative.com readers know about the 15th Annual Flag Day Campaign that’s happening this coming Saturday, June 14th, 2008. Volunteers will be at various locations throughout the Greater Rochester are selling flags, pins, pencils and decals and the proceeds will be going to the Veterans Outreach Center. Those proceeds will be used to support programs and services for veterans, returning servicemen and servicewomen and their dependents. The Veterans Outreach Center is a not-for-profit tax-exempt organization that has been serving veterans and their families since 1973.

I’ll be taking part in the Flag Day Campaign and will be with my friend who posts as catlover54 on the Chili Blog has arranged for us to have a booth at the Chili Farmers Market at the Chili-Paul Plaza and will be there from 9am on. Please stop by, say hello and get a flag, the proceeds are going to a great cause! RV

You already know I’ll be there with at least one child–I mean junior conservative–in tow. I get extra credit for naming one of them Reagan, right? =)

I’ve been talking it up to folks I encounter and mentioned it on the blog so hopefully we’ll raise a nice chunk of change!

    TigMode,

I’m looking forward to seeing you and your kids! Reagan is a great name!

It looks like we may be in for some rain early in the day. I hope it just blows on right on by us.

    See you there!

Although it either threatened to rain or it actually did rain, the Flag Day Campaign was a success. I do appreciate the caring and generosity of the people who attended the Chili Farmers Market in their support for the Veterans Outreach Center! Thanks Chilites!
